How To Build A Playhouse

Every kid wants to have his or her own playhouse and every parent wants to be able to provide one for them. Unfortunately, buying pre-fabricated playhouses can be very expensive to say the least. The good news is that by building the playhouse yourself, you can save you quite a bit of money and it is a great project for you and your family to work on together! So, once the decision is made, exactly where do you start when you want to learn how to build a playhouse?

You really have two ways you can go with this. First, if you do not have any construction experience whatsoever, your first step is to find someone who has experience with building and carpentry.

After settling on a design and plan for the playhouse, it is time to purchase the materials. You should always purchase all of the materials you will need before you begin building. Failure to do this could result in your inability to complete the playhouse!

Even the items that seem silly--like screws and nails--should be on hand before the building of the playhouse begins. Again, this is where a materials list is critical, unless you want to spend more money than necessary.

Once you've settled on a plan and gathered all of your tools and materials it is simply a matter of following instructions and the building plans. A good set of kids playhouse plans will come with detailed instructions on how to put all of your building materials together. Some plans provide builders with step by step instructions.
